Emerald Lakes
Arts & Culture
The cultural calendar on the Space Coast is jam packed with outdoor events, festivals, art shows and musical programs every weekend. Indoors, the Maxwell King Center for the Performing Artsleads the way with famous vocalists, plays, comedians and rock stars, not to mention our own Brevard Symphony Orchestra. There are many small venues showcasing local talent such as the Henegar Center and Melbourne Auditorium, the Cocoa Village Playhouse, the Surfside Playhousein Cocoa Beach and Emma Parrish Theater in Titusville.
A few short miles away from Emerald Lakes is the Eau Gallie Arts District (EGAD). The cultural center of Melbourne, it is home to museums, galleries, studios, art supply store, a bed & breakfast, and an array of shops and restaurants. The other treasures in the district include the Foosaner Art Museum, Brevard County’s only museum dedicated to the visual arts. Additional cultural venues include a riverfront library, public parks, band-shell, fishing pier, and a civic center.
